I'll build an iso version including all you need to run gb64. What would you prefer: one iso (DVD-9) or two isos (DVD-5)?dax wrote:would be great if You upload package with all files ready to run, means:
- move every directory to proper sub-directory
- add emulators
- add INI files
- add other (missed) files

Before 2005'th, when I started to collect it... also created compilations on DVD's (incl. Gamebase compilations)... after several years of doing this (collecting movies, mp3's, roms, others...) I decided to resign of this uncomfortable idea, and changes DVD's to hard disks (safer, easier to manage/update and CHEAPER - comparing capacity of both)
but if You wanna run it from DVD's, from my experiences (several years ago) it worked, but...
yeah, there is BUT....
it worked great, until Gamebase did not want to write something in particular database (MDB file), even if I modified NOTHING (only ran games), Gamebase did updates of database for some reasons (maybe like "how many times game was run ?" or others)
I don't know how does it work now, maybe it does not update MDB if You only playing, but I can't guarantee, You have to check this
several months ago I had an idea to buy 256GB pendrive, to have Gamebase compilations "portable" (I wrote batches to run it without any configuration on any PC, because I did "spy" where every emulator saves own configuration: cfg, ini, registry), but pendrives with capacity over 128GB are expensive, cheaper solutions have not real capacity (fake)
IMO the best solution for longer use is (eventually portable) hard disk, but I burnt maaaany DVD's - consider that

First of all, I would like to say: THANK YOU VERY MUCH DAX
You have helped with providing a great collection for all gamer enthusiasts
out there, myself included.
Another big THANK YOU, for everyone that made each of these GB systems and all their efforts putting together brilliant collections. And of course to the developers of Gamebase 64 themselves. A great job!
I was looking for the Atari 2600 setup in GB. Wondering if it was made and perhaps available for DL. If anyone could share some info concerning that issue, it would be greatly appreciated.
I'm ending my request by saying, this is the best post I've ever visited anywhere and a brilliant idea by Dax. Keep up the excellent work!
