Hi Paul,

Heathcliffe CAS should work (most of the time). :wink:
the GEMUS in the tape extra should read...

tape=auto
fastboot=no
model=osb

SIO must be ON (not switched OFF in the Global GEMUS),
Do not press any key or stare at screen while loading... :P

the Colossal adventure tape doesn't work in Altirra, so no point uploading it.
it only works in an old version of A800.

oh well, i just tried to fix it.
can't confirm it's 100%, but it does boot now.

AE game doesn't work for me. Screen full of artifacts. A minor prob in this great GB. However, Heathcliff does.

Do you mean purple and green colour?
That is the correct graphic setting for the game.
you can switch it off removing artifact=ntsc

Original Disk should have this setting though...
siopatch=off

Don't know if artifact is the word. Neither removing artifact=ntsc nor siopatch=off solve the prob.

To all who downloaded Atari 800XL v14: are there no more missed files or inproper Gemus entries?

Hi Paul,

I think the files have only been moved from one folder to another...

Original Tapes\M\Mind Bogglers I -> Compilation
Original Tapes\P\Proto_s_Favorite_Games.zip -> Compilation

Heathcliffe - "Fun with spelling.cas"
Original Tapes\F\Fun_with_spelling.zip

.mad,

Need to have a wee chat re some of the settings, not got the time now but its to ask about the scripting the the use of the gamebase.ini..

The default NTSC artifact colours are wrong (not your fault!!) the right value is 3274899456 which gives more orangey red colour and blue on the Atari which has been universally accepted as 'good enough'. From what I can see I think you load the default colour setting?

I'm messing around with the things that are not changed on the fly in the gamebase.ini to add a little more accuracy to the feeling like the bloom and screen effects of rounding the screen to match a crt, again its personal but get turned off between the scripting and the ini..

Will catch up with you when I have more time to pick your brains on the scripting so I understand it more ie how it creates the command line from the clp things, I sort of understand some of it but there's nothing like asking the old master :)

If you don't mind that is..

I used to help out on the scripting a long time back but it became more complicated than my 1k brain could analyse in one hit :)

Cheers

Paul..

I've verified all of Your errors (missed files, inproper Gemus entries) - everything works properly after suggested changes.

P.S. Boulder Dash Mugen 21 released! I'll be adding this game, verify if no more new games anywhere, then upload complete package with fixes and today's changes. Mad.: U ROXX! :P

Thanks Dax...

I hope you realise what I put up wasn't a critique of you and .mads wonderful work, the gemu entries are not wrong, just not spot on for artifacting, they don't have to be changed as there are false (but near) colour versions of the games in the gamebase..

Cheers to the pair of you..

Atari 800XL update

1 game missed in the compilation. It was released in January 2019. The game is called "Millionerzy" and it's Polish version of "Milionaire" published in 2018 by "unknown".

Updated .mdb (contains my additional filters), game file, screenshots here:
