that's because the script creates a NEW basiliskII.prefs everytime gamebase runs.

edit this file
GBbasiliskII.prefs

change the ROM and BOOT DISK location to your files.

Code: Select all

disk c:\GameBase\Macintosh 68k\Emulators\BasiliskII\OS755.hfv
extfs

pollmedia false
etherpermanentaddress true
ethermulticastmode 0

ftp_port_list 21
portfile0 C:\B2TEMP0.OUT
portfile1 C:\B2TEMP1.OUT

edit the script
change this line to your gamebase rezip location.

Set_CFG_Item(%emupath%\BasiliskII_prefs||disk C:\GBGame\0\||%gamefile%||)

C:\GBGame\0\

zip your gamedisk, and link it in gamebase.
when you click PLAY GAME the disk will extract to C:\GBGame\0\
and attach it as the 2nd drive.
with the OS755.hfv as drive 1.

just compare your working basiliskII.prefs with mine.
and change the lines in the script accordingly.

in this new update i used basilisk2 so i have replaced many of fusion games.
Maybe basilisk2 don't find your path..

i used my path
K:\emul\gamebase\macintosh 68k\ and k:\gbgame\0\

If it is this your and yours problems, you have to edit basilisk2 script.
However, gamebase should be autoset this setting or not?

Just tried to run a game called "Billy goes Bowling" and it was looking for an emulator entry of "Mini vmac 16 colours".

Can someone just upload an all in one solution with emulators, scripts and db?

look..i tried and all games works :)
maybe database don't have auto add various emulators.
you have to have:

Fusion
Mini VMacII
Mini VMac 16 Colors
Win
Basilisk2
vmac3.3

in the next update there will be
SheepShaver with .mad basilisk II script that i have edited for SheepShaver :)

All files are in the archives. You can add yourserlfs. :)

however, wait..
i'll upload databae, script and all files without games and screenshot.

After changing the paths to C:\Gamebase I managed some success, however I still having some right pain with Basilisk II, this really needs an installer setup.

Also, this lot was missing when I did a file check :-

C:\GameBase\Macintosh 68k\Macintosh 68k.mdb

the missing games are of the next update 2.

Of course basilisk2 use my path so you have to change basiliskII_prefs with the right path for ROM and MACOS.

And for SheepShaver will be the same problems because i used the same script of basilisk2.
PPC games works without audio, but this is not my priority now.

The monitor colour settings are saved on the OS disk.
like the Amiga Workbench System Configuration.
When using basiliskII with OS 7.55 (not any lower).
you get a tool bar at the bottom of the screen where you can set the colours, they are then saved on the disk till you change them again.
When loading some games, a prompt will appear saying it needs more or less colours, just click the box and it does it automatically.

depending on your setup, another fix would be to make several boot disks with all the colour combinations.

i added in macos7.5 for basilisk 2 and macos9 for sheepshaver two interesting programs.
Toast 3.5.7 and Virtual DVD.
In this way we can play with any CD/DVD games (.toast) 68k and PPC.
i have to test it, but in my sheepshaver (now it works) system, toast image work very well.

Toast games work well, but don't work repack because image file for toast files are very big.
i tried indy4 with 500MB hfv.
with repack option don't start emulator (basilisk2 or Sheepshaver)
with no repack otpion it works greatly.

so it better not use toat games or you need to remember to disable repack to play this game
i try to make small hfv..

indy4 floppy instead are in .image format and i don't know to mount in emulator..
