A little help please.

Tue Dec 02, 2008 8:14 pm

I'm having a little trouble with gamebase, I have thousands of games I downloaded off a torrent file a few years back, I've saved all these games to my hard drive, I've downloaded gamebase 1.2 but when I point it towards the game directory, extras, photos etc and click verify it comes up with no games etc.

Also I have all the emulators that came with the disks a downloaded, same thing happens it wont find any of them.

Any ideas?

Cheers.

Was it a Gamebase torrent? Gamebase will be looking for the files named in a specific way.

You CAN attach a game file of your choice, but for thousands of games this would take you a long time...

Think it was called C64 collection, it's on three cd's I just get the new version to work with any of the games or emulators, it just wont pick them up.

you will need the Official Gamebase collection
of Commodore 64 games.
it will not work with any other collection.

try searching torrent sites for...
"Gamebase_64_v05"

but if you can wait...
version 6 might not be too far away??. 8)

happy searching.

I had the same problem, and I PM'd swanseajack for the solution:
  1. Download the HVSC SIDs.
In GB64, to go Tools->Paths->HVSC. Point it towards the directory where you unzipped the SIDs
Do a Verify for the SIDs, and you're all set!
