Where can you find GBZX nowadays?

Sun Jul 27, 2008 2:14 pm

i've been searching the web for quite a while now and can't seem to find a full download of Gamebase ZX.

Does anyone know where i could find one? i found the megaupload link in a previous post but that archive doesn't appear to have any of the extras or is missing quite a lot. Plus my antivirus picked it up as well.

If anyone could help with this it would be greatly appreciated.

I've also been trying to find a good set of Gamebase ZX. I have the base install, but I'm missing alot of extras, and I'm also having a hard time finding games that will work properly. I would love it if somebody could help.

Thank you, hillelr, for the upload. I downloaded it, but unfortunately, it still doesn't seem to carry any games with it. Most of the other gamebases come with the games zipped up and ready to play. I wonder why this one doesn't?

i don't distribute the gamebase with the games
everyone can make up his own mind about
downloading denied games.
i don't want to do this decision for them
sorry if it is inconvenient
hope you enjoy it still

File gbzx.7z (213825 KB) uploaded!

http://rapidshare.de/files/40242079/gbzx.7z.html

this contains only the games for the GBZX gamebase
you will need to get the extras from the above link.

What you still need to do.

Extract all the Extras files from Hillel Rosen's Gamebase into each of their own DIRs.
Then move all the RZX files from the Walkthrough DIR into the RZX folder.
the extras path should now look as follows.

EXTRAS
\CODES
\INSTRUCTIONS
\MAPS
\RZX
\WALKTHROUGH

when the link dies, upload it again or it's gone for good.

ENJOY!

Thanks alot.
But, I just found that there is a more up-to-date ZX GB (7235 games) here.....
http://www.gb64.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3813
...but I am having trouble installing it. The extras aren't showing up and other stuff is missing too. Does any one have the latest ZX GB installed and all working?

you might think it's newer as it has more entries.
but it is in fact a much older version,
as Hillel.R will confirm.
it just contains more duplicates / demos.

i do have a 10,000 version with approx 8500 individual games.
with a few hundred Missing In Action games.
based on the World of Spectrum website.

i just need to get my act together and release it.

hi

Fri Dec 12, 2008 8:47 am

what mad said is right
i am sorry for the confusion but when i started the gamebase i had 9000 entries but only 3000 of them where filled with info when i
progressed with the database i found missing or duplicates
and erased them so as i progressed there were less game in the database
the final one is with 6300 games i think.
