Hi all,

GBST v3.1d is ready since March 2007

Quote:

Here (at long last) is the latest development version of GamebaseST, namely v3.1d. This release assumes you know how to set the database up since there is no help in this area. I wanted to get this release out sooner rather than later hence the lack of documentation for this. Seasoned GBST users will of course have no problem. Also, many apologies that there is no upgrade path from previous versions, the changes where just to numerous and an upgrade would not have been feasible.

So what do you get with this version::

3125 games (72 hard disk based)
1018 music files
13400 screenshots
764 Adverts
1600 boxscans
500 diskscans
1168 manuals
131 maps
534 reviews
170 solutions
…and a whole host of cheats and tips.

Gamebase.ST.v3.1.database (1.73 MB)
Gamebase.ST.v3.1.emulators (5.72 MB)
Gamebase.ST.v3.1.screenshots (115.89 MB)
Gamebase.ST.v3.1.music (37.31 MB)
Gamebase.ST.v3.1.games (1.43 GB)

Please type Gamebase.ST to find all the above on emule!

After 1 year, the FULL extras for the Gamebase ST are now available.

As usual, i put up the extras with the rest on edonkey and set them to "powershare" for the next months.
If you want to save the official download server some bandwidth or if you want to help sharing, then please go edonkey.

So here is the COMPLETE Gamebase V3.1d on edonkey.

Can someone continue the AtariST gamebase, it would be worth it. I can't due to my other projects.

What is needed? Is there a checklist, etc?

Hell I still have a 520ST, 1040ST, Falcon and TT in my basement and who knows how many disks.

I just registered on this forum, so I don't know how active it is for troubleshooting purposes, but here goes;

I grabbed a copy of "GBST v3.1d" and have set it all up. I'm having a little bit of trouble though getting it to work with STeem v3.2. Whenever GameBase launches this emulator, I get a pop up saying something about the DLL being in beta, and prompts me to click ok. This is no big deal really, but I'm using another Frontend called GameEx. GameEx pulls the info from the GameBase DB and launches everything directly in a full-screen menu system. Since it's in full-screen, I don't see the prompt by STeem to click the OK button. This is resolved by clicking the ENTER key, but I'd like to know if there is a way to automate this keypress. Can I do a little GEMUS editing or something to force the ENTER keystroke upon launching the game?

For everybody having trouble and getting annoyed by the "pasti.dll beta" dialog box, I've found a "temporary" solution. Just delete, or rename the file (I renamed it to "pasti.dll-old"). STeem doesn't require it to run, and most of the games work fine. The only ones that have trouble are the ones specifically labled as "Pasti Original", which I assume the DLL file was attempting to correct. As long as you don't try to run these "Pasti Original" games, you're safe to get rid of the pasti.dll file. No file, no dialog box!

I have found a much better solution.

You can download a version of pasti.dll from this forum but you need to register on the forum before you can download but it is free to register.

The Pasti.dll is the same version as the one in the gamebase but it has its nag screen taken out from it.

PostPosted: Tue Apr 24, 2012 8:44 am    Post subject: torrent of 3.1d problems.. Reply with quote

as most of the regular sources for downloading the archive are now under FBI watch, I obtained a torrent of the latest gamebase st project. It is the one with the tosec collection also included. The problem is that the gamebase archave has .7z compressed and the index file (the important bit) is missing..
I have GamebaseST 3.1d.7Z.001, and .002
neither will uncompress without the first part however which I assume will be called GamebaseST 3.1d.z7

Can anyone assist?
Arthur.
