Here you go. Huge thanks to .mad. for getting the emu set up to play nice with gamebase! Here is a gamebase for all 117 games that were released for the Neo Geo Advanced Entertainment System (AES). Most are missing manuals, but there are a couple.
There are no roms here. You will have to get them else where (it's over 2GB). You will need the following roms from the winkawaks neo geo rom set...

user42: do You plan to release also CPS-1/2/3 Gamebases ?
It would be great to have all of them, especially because FB Alpha supports all of these systems
I have complete romset for FB Alpha and I can upload it if anyone do this GB (Capcom CPS 1/2/3) _________________ I love Gamebase's creators and compilations |

| I don't really see the point in making a gamebase for arcade games. There are a lot of front-ends for MAME that work fine. This one only contains the Neo Geo AES (home console) games with the emulator set to run in AES mode (not MVS (arcade) mode). Interesting thing about Neo Geo games is the rom is the same for the arcade and home systems. Also all regions are the same rom. It is the hardware that tells the game if it should load in arcade or console mode or English vs Japanese.... |

Mame is very bloated and is always changing the roms, i think it is a good idea to creat seperate gamebases of the varous arcade systems. _________________ Gamebase Developer of:

The fact that they are always changing the roms i exactly why I would not want to make GB...
Besides most MAME front-ends can sort the games by manufacturer or board type so if you just want to see the Capcom games it is fairly easy to do. |

Yeah, I know, sorting roms, adding to favourites in emulator...
I thught it would be great to have CPS-1/2/3 & NeoGeo in Gamebase as separate systems, based on the newest FBA or Winkawaks (means incl. Metal Slug 6 and others). It may have sense (to have everything in 1 package with great interface and additions - GAMEBASE) or may not (because of other frontends - main reason) and I respect it. _________________ I love Gamebase's creators and compilations |

Hello and thanks for another great gamebase!
Only a little question: I have the latest MAME SET v0.143 complete in merged format.
Can I use the NeoGeo Mame ROMs with Your gamebase?
Cheers.

Even though they are the same NEO GEO files in MAME.
The files need to be renamed so the run in winkawaks.
a very high percentage should work after renaming with the RomCenter Dat file, available in this download.
http://www.multiupload.com/FQ5I5NHK21
you can then google any files your missing. |

Thanks a lot!
This is different from the Gamebase that I have found at the beginning of this thread: the database contains more ROMs and more versions of the same ROM .. must I use this instead the other? |

No.
the other games are only duplicates.
that was just a test version i made from the Neo collection, while i got it working.
it contains the Arcade, Console (AES) and Unencrypted versions.
and requires MAME, Nebula and Winkawaks installed and scripted.
420's AES version is all you need for the Gamebase. |
