I was actually wondering if I missed the .sfv for it somewhere. About halfway through without it, and didn't see it on the upcoming links. Not a big concern yet as it will probably take me at least through the weekend just downloading the Laserdisc package.

Only this one is missing (I never had it)
Games not found: 1/21
E:\emulatory\Gamebase\Laserdisc\Emulators\daphne-1.0v-win32\

lgp.bat 50 Laser Grand Prix

about black screen....

try to run games via batches, like "lair2.bat" (in daphne-1.0v-win32 directory), default is window mode - still black screen ?

if YES, try to run them directly by Daphne Loader, but check VIDEO configuration in this loader first

Hi,

Offcourse i use the batch files, they are pointed to in gamebase,
otherwise the games would not be available in the Gamebase,.....black screen.

When i try daphne loader i dont have to adjust video settings,
but the folder settings are wrong.....E:emulatory/etc.

What is wrong?

It sounds like the framefile isn't loading.

There should be a daphne_log.txt file in the Daphne DIR,
which will shed some light on your problem.

edit the game batch files (with a text editor), and check the framefile paths are correct to where you have them.

all these examples are correct.
but i think only the last one will work for you.

using relative paths from the BATCH file location.

Code: Select all

daphne.exe ace vldp -fullscreen -framefile "space ace\space ace.txt" -blank_searches -min_seek_delay 1000 -seek_frames_per_ms 20 -homedir . -bank 0 00000000 -bank 1 00000001 -sound_buffer 2048 -x 1024 -y 768

Code: Select all

daphne.exe ace vldp -framefile Ace\Ace.txt -blank_searches -min_seek_delay 1000 -seek_frames_per_ms 20 -bank 0 00000000 -bank 1 00000001 -sound_buffer 2048 -x 640 -y 480
if you have it installed over several drives, you need to point to the framefiles full path.
please note the -HOMEDIR in the code as well.

Code: Select all

daphne.exe interstellar vldp -framefile "F:\Laserbase\framefile\Interstellar Laser Fantasy\interstellar.txt" -blank_searches -min_seek_delay 1000 -seek_frames_per_ms 20 -homedir F:\Laserbase -bank 0 00000001 -bank 1 00000000 -sound_buffer 2048 -x 640 -y 480

also check paths in ALL the INI files.
other info is on the Daphne WiKi website.

u lost me......maybe i need a direct example..... :o

F:/Gamebase/LaserBase/Emulators/daphne-1.0v-win32/mpegs

This is the location!

This is the text in the astron.bat

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
daphne.exe astron vldp -framefile "mpegs\astron belt\astron.txt" -blank_searches -min_seek_delay 1000 -seek_frames_per_ms 20 -homedir . -bank 0 00000000 -bank 1 00000000 -sound_buffer 2048 -x 1024 -y 768

memory lane....... :D :D

I also remember some kind of cowboy game, wild west style....
There was a loose holster on a standard ,you have to take the gun out....
but not point it at the screen because the movie character would get
annoyed and might shoot you.

Real wild west digitized movie ,laserdisc like?
I estimate i played this one in begin 1980,maybe a few years later.

The screen was HUGE,no animations, real movie..

Anyone knows this one?
I thought that one character was that bold guy from that movie with the android cowboys.

REeally would like to see that one !
