Re: Laserbase
not working because cannot open this 2 file:
150 hv001t01.EVO
323 hv001t02.EVO
frame file search .vob file that in this archive are not present.
i found also a framefile wizard, but don't detect video file and so doesn't work.
if i rename hv001t01.m2v in hv001t01.EVO changes something because it try to parse videos, but then, close windows and return to desktop.
i don't know if framefile is correct for this type of files. In the text also file are named totally different from that you have in "dlhd"
maybe we must converted every EVO in m2v, but really i don't know..

Re: Laserbase
i think you have wrong video files for daphne emulator.
from what i understand (could be wrong)
.EVO files are from the Blu-ray Disc version.
which is not supported by Daphne, as it runs in a blu-ray player.
not to worry, i have a good version
uploading...

Still no luck. New clean install of gamebase 1.3, created a new folder named according to the ".mdb", and ...
EXE does not start up, 2 seconds of loading, no result ! No error-prompt, no beep !
Duuno what it is ... But nevertheless ... Thank U again for fast uploading !!!!

if the emulator fails to load?.
that will probably be a missing ROM, movie file, or incorrect path set on the command-line.
check emulators.ini, paths.ini and all batch files are pointing to your collection.
also DO NOT update Daphne to the latest version.
the DL mpeg collection will only work on old versions.
Re: Laserbase
i assume you are saying... Daphne (emulator) doesn't start up rather than GameBase. The 80s Fan wrote: ↑Sat May 11, 2024 3:33 amStill no luck. New clean install of gamebase 1.3, created a new folder named according to the ".mdb",

i dunno exactly what it is ... downloaded 2nd time from archive.org., downloaded the gamebase installer again as well, installed it ... No reaction. Considered all capital-writing, checked twice, triple times .. does not work ... ButI SEE my "run.bat" file only contains the letters "oled", nothin more !!! It has only 1kb, too ! Can someone please post the working "run.bat" ?!

Re: Laserbase
inside Win.bat is corrected: "ole".
did you try to run the game without gamebase to see if the games work?

Re: Laserbase
.mad,
can confirm that there IS an ole in the .bat ...
I can also claim that the laserdisc-".bats" are all running well by clicking !
Strange: My game folder has 2 folders inside, one (i think) "Daphne" and the other is "Daphne America" which contains "Action-Max" bats. Is this correct and must the ".ini" file point to them ?!

so problem is in the gamebase config (script, paths.ini, emulators.ini).
or your install location.
*we know batches, roms, movie files and emulator version are good!
1) make sure the emulators.ini is pointing to the same emulator version as in the batches.
*action max (US) one will not work!
2) GameBase is installed to the ROOT of your drive.
* X:\gamebase\gamebase.exe
* X:\gamebase\laserbase\laserbase.mdb
3) open the laserbase gamebase and select verify available files.
does it find your game batch files? (paths.ini).
if all that fails...
Ask Seyia to upload his working script and ini files for you.
