Thanks Patch61 for the offer of help, you could create a GEMUS script to add MESS suport to the gamebase. That would be a great addition to the Gamebase 800. _________________ Gamebase Developer of:

I haven't messed around with MESS , but I'll give it a look.
In the meantime, here is a new startup icon for GB800:

hardmanm,
I installed MESS and got the atari 800 emulation working... and all I can say is 'UGH". The emulation is spotty with few options. Is there some reason you would want to use this emulator?
I am installing your latest GB800 now. Can't wait to try it out!
What do you think of the startup graphic I made for you? |

I agree that you're doing a great work.
I have a question though. I use the Gambase frontend to launch the Atari atr and atx files as Gamebase launches them directly when pressing 'Play Game'.
Is there a way to also launch rom or cas files directly, like Vice or CCS do with the C64? |

GB 800 V3 is here, it has been split up into two parts. Download both and extract the gamebase in the gambease folder and the games within the 800v3 folder, enjoy. The links are:

Hi hardmanm
I brought an Atari 800 with my first pay cheque back in the dark ages. I paid extra for the 16 K ram expansion and one cartridge called Star Raid.
I am so greatful that I have found this forum and can relive those early days.
I appreciate your hard work and kudos to sjackie43 too, as I see you both contribute to multiple GBs. You are both Kings of Men in my opinion.
Thank you! |
