8-bit files offline ?

It seems the image files from 8-bit are unreachable since a couple weeks. Any chance of seeing them back ?

And no one from the site is answering either. Hmmm.... I hope all is well. So trying this in googlechrome it says it is trying to open the downloads in WINDOWS EXPLORER! Well, I'm guessing since explorer is long dead now it won't open or connect.

chrome, firefox, edge just won't open up the ftp links to the downloads.

Looks like we need more than 1 linked repository archive. I know they exist but I love GB64 format and structure. It is to the point and I'm very used to it.

i know how to fix all broken game download links from 8bitfiles (FTP) to a working online source (HTTPS).
you just need to edit the address in the PHP

replace all
"ftp://8bitfiles.net/gamebase_64/"

with

"https://archive.org/download/?/?/"

pm for address if you don't know it.

I guess someone needs to purchase it and rebuilt all the files from scratch again...

I meant I could have buy it, but I simply don't have time to redo all the files!

Also they charge yearly, who is going to live that long to maintain it forever?
