Hello everyone
For any users familiar with Launchbox there is now a fully developed plugin released to import Gamebases into Launchbox. Developed by a great developer JoeViki g245 it will import all entries and use GBLauncher to point all your roms to your pre-configured emulators in Gamebase. If you prefer to use other emulators like Retroarch that is also available. Please pop over to the Launchbox plugins download section on the Launchbox website for details

Re: Launchbox importer plugin for Gamebase released
I remember when long time ago spoken with mad about importing Gamebase systems to Launchbox. It was impossible for that times.
And now i’m wondering how the situation really looks like for now, because I have to use 3 systems for resources (CoinOps, Launchbox, Gamebase). Would be good if Gamebase will be out - means imports of systems to Launchbox. But I doubt for chance of this

I love Gamebase's creators and compilations

Re: Launchbox importer plugin for Gamebase released
it was made possible by using edited GBlauncher and Autohotkey.
still not a gamebase replacer in my opinion...
but it should please LB fans and help importing GB data and game sets to other frontends as well.
which can only be a good thing.

I have just been experimenting with other frontends.
Pegasus looks easy enough for me to edit and create the metadata.
If someone makes a GB theme that handles and ALL theses GameBase fields.

i could easily convert GB64 with all the Extras GAMES linked to each main Game entry.
All the other EXTRAS types: Advert, Box, Mp3, manuals...
would need a lot more thought in the theme development.
All game formats have been tested working, without using GBLauncher and scripts.
most game files need to be unpacked, so maybe this idea is not for everyone.
