As someone has already noticed, I have republished a document that Andyman had been creating for a long time. If you compare, there are a lot of changes, both in version numbers, dates, authors, and links to files. But I assure you, if someone after me goes through all the forum topics again, they will find many more inaccuracies. The task of accounting for databases is complicated by the fact that, firstly, almost none of the developers indicated the version of the document, or did not change it after updates, and also by the fact that there were unofficial changes that were not announced on the forum.
What I am really proud of is that I added several more missing databases. For example:
- GameBase MSX World (MSX1,MSX2,MSX2+,MSXturboR)
- Demobase MSX
- NEC PC-FX
- Demobase zxAAA
Below, in the second table, I have listed the obsolete databases, the memory of which, for some reason, I wanted to save. Almost all of them are unique, although some have remained the basis for more modern databases.
The last table contains the databases that I couldn't find anywhere. I still haven't finished downloading the fantastic torrent file from Freenit, maybe some of them will be there, because hope dies last, but it would be great if anyone who has these databases would share them.
What I want to ask. I suggest all active forum participants study the document, maybe they will be able to find some very obvious and ridiculous errors.
The next steps I plan are as follows:
1. Since the table is online, I suggest the most active and concerned forum participants to write to me so that I give them the rights to edit the document. I don’t know how often and for how long I will be able to keep it up to date, it would be better if each developer could do it on their own. In any case, the document can be downloaded and republished again.
2. After all the discussions, I plan to open a separate topic, where this document will be in the title. The link will no longer change and will be in one place.
3. I also plan to upload all the current databases to the cloud service so that everyone can download them. As an alternative, there will be a group with all the files in Telegram, in my opinion, now this is the best place for exchanging files, no need to wait, download, suffer, everything is done quickly and automatically with one click.
I would like to thank everyone who has created the databases over the years. Studying the forum has been a truly exciting adventure for me.
