Good luck and we all look forward to it! :D

I was really impressed with the Vic-20 gamebase that was started last year and hope you guys can do the same for the C16/Plus 4.

Hopefully it will be good, it looks alright so far. This is how far I've got:

All 2500 games entered into database :D
All game links working
Most of the game information is done :o

Images will be completed within the next month. Not too bad for a one man team.

I'm slowly making my way through it. It's taking longer than I thought, plus I haven't had as much time as I thought I would. Also I'm splitting out all the compilations when I get time as well, into separate entries (even more marvelous for the Cascade 50 tape for example!).

I wish I had thought about a VIC20 db before I went through all my VIC20 stuff for GB64. I only managed to get 76 new games that ran native on a C64, and 18 came from the VIC20 Cas50. But I should have extracted all of them while I was doing the GB64 extractions.

I think thankfully someone has already put a d64 of the Cascade tape into GB20. Just the task of splitting 50 PRG files from one d64 into 50 lots of one PRG file each!

Hiya all,

Thought it was about time that I released a preview of the Commodore 16/Plus 4 Gamebase. It still needs quite a bit of work doing on it. But hopefully will have it upto scratch by the end of the month :D The delay was caused by a hard drive fault that lost nearly everything. Forgot to back up that partition

Its available on www.commodore16.com Then click on interactive on the menu to find it.

Please remember that its still a draft at the moment, but constructive comments welcome.

Wow another post, but its from me :(

I've uploaded v0.01 today, so its more like a true Gamebase.

What do you all think so far?

Just downloaded it. Nice work, I'll have a play with it now...I have a suggestion though. You have the paths defaulting to "C:\Program Files\GameBase\C264", it would be better to keep this empty and make the users to set it up for themselves.

Also the archive is missing one screenshot

Code: Select all

Pictures not found: 1/383
K:\Emulation\GameBase\C264\Screenshots\

Had a play, noticed some things:-

'Mercenary' is actually 'Mercenary - Escape from Targ' - it's identifiable by the fact the ground is green

'Mercenary 2 - Escape from Targ' is actually 'Mercenary - The Second City'..... - it's identifiable by the fact the ground is red. It's not Mercenary 2 it's more like Mercenary 1.5, Mercenary 2 was 16 bit only and called Damocles.

Is there any chance of getting better versions of the games which will autorun without call to use the VICE monitor?

A fair few screenshots are of loading/title screens, generally there should be a screenshot of the actual game in play unless the dump is badly bugged.

Thanks for the suggestions.

I will be getting better images of the games, 1 of the title page and one of games in play. Also I noticed some of the programs dont work too great, so will sort those out too.

V0.3 will be out next week with bug fixes :D
