i have to say that i don't know how you have all this problem. i create gamebase in a computer and i test in another to see if all is ok.
It is very strange that you have many other gamebase and only in this one you have so much problems.
i have made so much updates and fix. Maybe you could not have all requested files.

do you have downloaded every archive? It is important that you replace every file when requested.

Yes I downloaded each archive, and updated it one by one in crescent order. I still may have all archives

I agree.
It's not your Gamebase, it's how sarednab2 has set it up.

what i **think** has happened...
Instead of putting it in his currently working gamebase folder, drive or partition.
Then just changing the drive letter in all the paths.

he has jumped though hoops using an external drive and tried to make or fake it, so it's the same path as your setup "K:". and completly messed up the install.

suggested solution.
move the emulator and gamebase install / rezip folder to an internal hard drive and fix the emulator.ini paths.

What if I’ll delete the commodore amiga gamebase and try to extract everything again from original seiya files? Could this work?

Question is: how can one break Gamebase in a way, so that clicking on "Load" shows "Unable to load a GEMUS script."?

Sure, you can try. Did you start with the archive.org download or the torrent (which includes all updates up to no.80)?

Before you add all updates (11+ or 81+) I would try to use the Gamebase first and see if the error is there.

I downloaded all from archive.org, all packages
Then start with the first four files and check if Gamebase is working.

Because the paths /foldername in that gamebase are incorrect and gamebase can't see the script file.

that is the whole problem.
re-downloading everything won't help.

The games, extras, screens etc.. are not the problem.
it's how or where you unpacked the setup.
*maybe you used option extract file to a folder, rather than in the root.
creating double folder names???.
this is only a guess, not a dig at you.

try to compare and edit the INI files so they look like your other working gamebases.

6) 5.2 Overlay: overlay.txt
7) old: Commodore amiga.txt
8) Old Overlay: overlay old.txt
9) 3dfx: 3dfx.txt
10) CDemu: amigawhd.txt
11) 4.2: amigawhd.txt
12) 4.2 Overlay: i forget to add a script.
13) 5.3: amigawhd-mt32.txt
14) 5.3 Overlay: overlay.txt
15) MIDI: amigawhd-mt32.txt
16) Midi Overlay: midi-overlay.txt
17) Win: windows.txt
18) Wipeout: wipeout.txt
