A'Im offtoping ? God damn... as punishment I'll post list of Gamebases I can upload.... really, really soon.... (only finish "injecting" the latest updates by "420")

You can change your user name, in your profile settings when you are logged in.
or ask Pugsy to do it for you.

I wanna say BIG TNX for this Speccymania v2 to Hardmanm.
A lot of changes, approx 2.000 games added, RZX files (great addition) and others...
Default script spin.txt of course is working, but I think it would be great to create/modify script zxspin.txt because it shows errors (tested with spin 0.666 & 0.7). It would be fine if SPIN emulator can change mode (for example) from 48k to 128k or other features - like activation of joystick. I configured SPIN to use KEMPSTON joystick as default, but everytime I run emu I have to click 3-rd or 4-th icon to change keyboard mode to joystick mode. It's annoying to change mode (from full screen to window) and click this icon every time I run game. Is this possible at all ?

yeah that's possible in ZXSpin and Unreal.
if you have the emulator pack above with the config files.
this is the ZXSpin script that changes the machine settings...
Code: Select all
;[Change Default Configurations]
if key_romset contains(plus3)
Set_INI_Value(1||Configurations||LastConfiguration||[SPINDir]\plus3.spincfg)
ElseIf key_romset contains(48k)
Set_INI_Value(1||Configurations||LastConfiguration||[SPINDir]\48.spincfg)
ElseIf key_romset contains(128k)
Set_INI_Value(1||Configurations||LastConfiguration||[SPINDir]\128.spincfg)
elseif key_romset contains(pentagon)
Set_INI_Value(1||Configurations||LastConfiguration||[SPINDir]\pentagon.spincfg)
end if
so press F2 over a game and enter one of the following, in the gemus window.
ROMSET=48k
ROMSET=128k
ROMSET=plus3
ROMSET=Pentagon
----
also any of these control or screen settings can be changed via the script.
Code: Select all
[Control]
KeyStickEnabled=0
CursorKeys=2
PCJoystick=0
Pointer=0
PointerHideWindows=0
PointerShowCrossHair=0
StickDeadZone=7500
RightShift=0
StickButtons=0
UserKSUp=0
UserKSDown=0
UserKSLeft=0
UserKSRight=0
UserKSFire=0
UserKSPcUp=38
UserKSPcDown=40
UserKSPcLeft=37
UserKSPcRight=39
UserKSPcFire=17
UserJSUp=0
UserJSDown=0
UserJSLeft=0
UserJSRight=0
UserJSFire=0
[Video]
RenderMode=0
FullScreenWidth=640
FullScreenHeight=480
FullScreenDepth=16
FrameSkip=0
AccurateMulticolour=1
GigaScreen=0
Border=3
Scanlines=0
ScanlineIntensity=50
Corners=0
ScalingMethod=0
AspectRatio=1
StartFullScreen=0
Palette=
SuperScale=0
------
if you save the zxspin.cfg file of what works for you, i can add those settings to the script.
i don't know how to change the settings in spectaculator.
but it keeps your last used setting stored in the registry.

You know what ? I did it
"Default.spincfg" does not have entry "KeyStickEnabled=1". I've added it and it solved my problem at all

Dear hardmanm, You have realized one of my best dreams! A big THANK YOU !!!
I have added Your pack into my Gamebase installation, and now I have three sets completed and perfectly working: Gamebase 64 with WinVICE, Amigabase with WinUAE and Speccy with RealSpectrum.
But I have an issue that I was not able to solve .. I have tried EVERYTHING! With Realspectrum the games works very well, but with Spectaculator 7.51 (registered) I receive this message:
Spectaculator cannot open <game>;. The file extension is not recognized. It seems that Gamebase cannot open the ZIP archives. It's strange, since all other emulators works fine! Obiouvsly, I have inserted the correct string: TZX;TAP;BLK;CSW;Z80;SNA;RZX;SZX;MDR;ROM;TRD;SCL;FDI;YDI;DSK in the "supported native file types" windows. Any ideas?
Thanks again, and keep the good work !!

Hello and thanks for the fast reply!
I do not have any GBgame folder in the C root dir!
Everything is installed in a dir called c:\PROGS.
Also the TEMP dir was rooted inside that dir.
This is my emu config:
[Emulators]
1=RealSpectrum 14b
2=Spectaculator v751
3=
[Spectaculator v751]
UseShortFilenames=0
SupportedTypes=TZX;TAP;BLK;CSW;Z80;SNA;RZX;SZX;MDR;ROM;TRD;SCL;FDI;YDI;DSK
EmulatorPathFile=c:\Progs\GameBase\SpeccyMania\Emulators\Spectaculator_v7.51\Spectaculator.exe
ScriptFile=spectaculator.txt
UseDefaultTypes=0
WaitFinish=1
1=
[RealSpectrum 14b]
UseShortFilenames=0
UseDefaultTypes=0
SupportedTypes=TZX;TAP;BLK;CSW;Z80;SNA;RZX;SZX;MDR;ROM;TRD;SCL;FDI;YDI;DSK
EmulatorPathFile=c:\Progs\GameBase\SpeccyMania\Emulators\RealSpectrum_b14\realspec.exe
ScriptFile=realspectrum.txt
WaitFinish=1

This is my gemus.DAT:

and this my GEMUS script:

End If
.. any hint?

It looks ok.
i would guess you have ZIP/RAR as a supported file somewhere, but i don't see it in your examples.
---------------
So maybe you need to check your GB re-zip settings.
the emulator can't run a ZIP as a game file.
so it needs to extract the file to the GB Temp folder to be run from there.
Which it isn't doing???
are you using the latest Gamebase v1.3
use the emulator pack and settings above (download).
that works ok.

ZXSpin 0.7 & 0.7s supports "KeyStickEnabled=1" to enable joystick at start, but makes problems, error messages, hangs...
I decided to move back to Spin 0.666, it does not support "KeyStickEnabled=1", but at least works with no problems

Hello!
Yes I have a temp path in other dir. I have tried to change it but there is always the same issue.
I use gamebase 1.3.
The strange thing is that inside the temp dir I found the game depacked, but not launched! It seems that the emulator doesn't recognize any extension after depacking it. But this happens only with Spectaculator. Others emus like Realspectrum, that use the same paths and settings, works fine! It's a real mystery! I suppose that some registry key in my windows is broken, or there is some recorded extension that conflict with this emu ...
