using gamepads/controls?

What are you guys using for controls.... using the numpad kinda stinks. Can you mapkey the sidewinder? Any help would be appreciated.

You should be able to... just make sure it's plugged in before you launch your emulator. Vice might be more compatible to select it as an input device.

I have modified a gamepad so that you can connect an original "old" joystick to it. This way I can use my good old Arcade joystick to play games in an emulator.
