I have seen posts by people that say they use GameBase as a front end for MAME & other programs. How do I set this up in GameBase?
I have MAME, ZNES (Super Nintendo emulator), Kega (Sega Genisis emulator), FCE Ultra (NES emulator) and Stella (Atari 2600 emulator).

Say, can you see my avatar or do you just see a symbol for Fortune City?
I see a leprechaun with gold but I don't know if anybody else can see it.

I don't know why I was not logged in but I think I'm in now.
So, to repeat:

Sorry - its a fortune city logo... you'll need a different provider to host your avatar....
Don't think theres a problem with this lot though -

OK. Cool. So, can anyone answer my first question?

...i'm at home now, and that green guy has a LONG chin!
Must be the computers at work then!
How very odd!
Anyway, James has got a link to an Atari Lynx database at
www.bu22.com which you may find useful to see how other DBs look. Basically, as long as the emulator you want to use can accept command line inputs - ie if you go into the c:\ prompt you can start the emulator and run a game from one string, then you can use GameBase.
You need to create a new DB with the toolbox, and then add your emulator and test it with the default script, and see how you go.
You can definitely use Mame as the dos version is command line - have a look at the txt files with your executable to see the syntax. Its good to experiment.
I haven't got it running through Gamebase myself - I use the Win32 version of mame....
Its a good idea for a forum topic - think we'll have to start one.....

Hope we get lots of takers!

OK. I was able to create a seperate listing for MAME but I can't come up with a script so that it will run the game. I have the Windows command line version of MAME. I click the game, a DOS window opens then closes.
Does anyone have a good MAME script for GameBase? I looked at the Atari Lynx for GameBase listing but that looks Greek to me.
As for my other emulators, I will have to see if they accept command line.
