it's been a long time updating...
hope you enjoy it!
It's been reported that Defenda [TAPE] was buggy.
Here is a working version.
re-link with this one and remove cycles=2 value from GEMUS (in extras).

for MegaCart to work.
edit emulators.ini and add ROM to the supported filetypes in all 3 emulators.
also add ROM in the gemus.dat, if you use it.
SupportedTypes=D81;D64;T64;G64;G41;TAP;CRT;ROM;P00;PRG

Fantastic work, .mad.! It's so great to see folks still creating and improving GameBases. GB is my preferred way to play games on old computers. It makes things so easy.

Quick question. I am not asking this for myself, as i don't have one of the devices in question (although I do plan to get one in the future.,,,
A friend of mine in a retrogamg discord server that im a part in wants to know if this works on the MiSTer?

NO.
This is a GameBase that is configured to run all the games in VICE via scripting.
Will the game files work in mister?.
i would guess most of them will, depending how similar to VICE emulation it is.
just ask on mister forum if it supports T64 (tape) and PRG (inject to RAM).
but you / your friend will need to do a lot of manual machine setting for each game / filetype.

Well done .mad, nice to see all the work you were chatting to me about is now out there, THANK YOU..
You and the other gamebasers are legends, the level of work and time needed is huge, and all for free. I've been involved in a couple and boy, does it eat up your free time.
Happy gaming folks..
Paul..

A quick, "it must be me doing something wrong" moment..
Just setup the VIC-20 Gamebase, now my weapon of choice is the GTK version of Vice, so I set it to the one supplied and I'm getting a weird thing, some prg files work, but others don't, same if its set to SDL. But if I swap it to WinVice 2,4 (as supplied), all the games run normally.
I thought it might be an issue with the Vice folder in APPDATA Roaming, but even with that removed it still does the same.
I set the GTK to the latest version and it still does the same..
My PC is a Ryzen Mini PC, it's on Win 11 (genuine) and all the usual drivers etc are 100% up to date.
I can leave it on the old WinVice but I lose out on any updates to Vic emulation in the newer versions.
Any idea's me old mate?
PS.. Just a test game, Acey Deucy...Emulator just never starts

Just tested Acey Ducey in Gtk3 r45139 x64 at this end and i can confirm it works for me.
As the emulator doesn't even start for you!!!.
That is 100% a command-line fault in the script.
it will only work with gtk3 vice version on or above that 'R' number.
older versions have different command-line and will not work.
grab it from here...
https://github.com/VICE-Team/svn-mirror/releases
if you are using a newer version and it doesn't work?
then something has updated in the emulator breaking the script, and you need to roll back to r45139 until i fix it.
if you have a vice.ini in the gtk3 folder or %AppData%\Roaming\vice\
it maybe overriding something in the script like auto start.
but it sounds like you checked everything i just wrote.
are you linking the correct version of vice in the emulators.ini.
i am at a loss what it might be...
email me.
*edit
Tested latest GTK3VICE-3.8-win64-r45333.
It is working pefectly for every filetype.
Is there a mixup of old/new scripts in your GB folder?.
