Zork I - The Great Underground Empire
Jimbo says: This game is still hailed as one of the best text adventures of all time. Infocom's masterpiece is gripping, absorbing, addictive, and it has a great language parser! Go hunt for that treasure!
|
Castles of Doctor Creep , The
Michael Plate says: Challenging arcade puzzle game. Can be also played together with a friend.
|
Nick Faldo's Championship Golf
Neo-Rio says: This golf game was comparable to Leaderboard in its technical brilliance, even surpassing it in some areas. Arguably one of the best golf games on the C64.

Rock Star Ate my Hamster, A
Neo-Rio says: Make your own run-off-the-mill artificial pop band with a bunch of rockers, spoofed from the 80s. Get your group popular enough and they might just land a #1 single! ....... maybe......
|
Motor Mania
Neo-Rio says: This game resembled the pitfalls and boredom of a long country drive more than action packed racing. I wonder if there is was ending to this game? Probably not!
|
Leather Goddesses of Phobos
Steve says: Naughty but nice would be the category for this game. Mindbogglingly crazy story, true classic interactive fiction by infocom and a game with 3 modes as far as I remember. One mode only can be played if you're 21 and over :-)
|
Pit-Fighter - The Ultimate Competition
Neo-Rio says: This is my other favourite fighter on the C64. Gameplay is good enough plus you can have 2 players. I remember making a hack of this game to play as the enemy characters many years ago.
|
Rocket Ranger
Neo-Rio says: Cinemaware, true to their name, produced this game experience on par with a 50s matinee movie. The graphics and sound create a tense and exciting atmosphere, not too unlike Cinemaware's other games.
|
Jack the Nipper
Neo-Rio says: You have to go around trying to be as naughty as possible. The controls are a bit tricky, the objects are a bit hard to figure out, but you'll be pea-shooting, scaring cats, wrecking PCs, and breaking prisoners out of jail in no time.
