GB64 Recommended Games...

Arnie Armchair's Howzat Cricket Game
Neo-Rio says: One of the first games I played on the C64 as it came in the box. Fondly remembered for it's annoying title tune ditty, and the thrashings my family members took at it.

Uridium
Neo-Rio says: Uridum is yet another side-scrolling classic shoot-em-up, the graphics are smart, and the game balances the frustration:addiction ratio just nicely so that you will keep playing into the night.

Citadel
Neo-Rio says: Not a widely known game, but one that is loads of fun anyway. You have to blast your way around an area full of defenses and get to the exit.

Head over Heels
Pugsy says: This game is graphically almost identical to the speccy version. But don't hold that against it...it's still a great game if you've got the patience to complete it.

Questprobe 2 - Spider-Man
Neo-Rio says: Spiderman, Spiderman, ...does whatever a spider can..... except for fighting with all the villians. Poor Mysterio, he really copped a beating from me anyway.

Chuck Yeager's Advanced Flight Trainer
Neo-Rio says: This is without a doubt, THE best flight simulator on the C64. Not only is the game in polygon 3D, but you get to have plane races and perform trick manoeuvers like a test-pilot.

Hagar the Horrible
Neo-Rio says: This console-esque platformer came along late in the C64's life, but it was really a great game to play, with cameo appearances from other Hagar characters. Collect as much treasure for Helga as you can!

Bop'n Rumble
Neo-Rio says: Comic book violence! Beat up old men, old ladies who throw handbags, the odd banana throwing gorilla, basketball players, fat men etc. Your impressive line up of ridiculous fighting moves will give you a good laugh.

Air Support
J2003C says: I used to like to play in strategy mode, allowing more time to plot each move of my army. Action mode can be fun too, but the computer has the advantage. Just watch those robot soldiers convulse as they go into battle! Takes time to learn the controls.
