GB64 Recommended Games...

Heavenbound
Neo-Rio says: This is a jolly little platforming game with a cute character. But this game has a surprisingly original twist.... a pink elephant must ride clouds to get to the pearly gates! This is one playable game!

Wicked
graveyardjohn says: A very different game where you encourage your own good spores to grow while defeating the evil spores, helped or hindered along the way by tarot cards. Originally cost me a fiver, and was worth every penny.

Bard's Tale III, The - Thief of Fate
Michael Plate says: This was the first RPG which really fascinated me. I wasn't able to stop playing this addicting game before finishing it.

Castle Master
Neo-Rio says: Yep, it's polygon 3D time again. This time you're going to have to explore every nook and cranny (and crook and nanny) to find all the keys. Only then can you rescue your partner from the dragon.

Choplifter
Steve says: Heli Rescue game, one of the first games i played over a quite long time.

Zork I - The Great Underground Empire
Jimbo says: This game is still hailed as one of the best text adventures of all time. Infocom's masterpiece is gripping, absorbing, addictive, and it has a great language parser! Go hunt for that treasure!

Into the Eagle's Nest
Neo-Rio says: Another great Gauntlet clone, but here you can run out of ammo and that has consequences. You also get to resuce prisoners but you'll need to learn where those lift-passes are....

Quinx
Neo-Rio says: They don't make games with plots like this anymore. You have to stop worms doodling over your precious piece of paper, and eating it into pieces!

Atomix
graveyardjohn says: Assemble complex molecular structures by... shoving chemicals around in an odd shaped box until they hit solid objects, in a dangerously unscientific manner. GlaxoSmithkline wouldn't be impressed, but I certainly was.
