GB64 Recommended Games...

Castle Wolfenstein
Neo-Rio says: "Achtung!" As well as being banned in Germany, this is the original inspiration for iD's "Wolfenstein 3D" and the FPS genre. This golden oldie forces you to rely on stealth more than firepower however. In game speech too.

BC Bill
Neo-Rio says: Club those dinosaurs! I didn't know they has walking food in prehistoric times (fast food?). You must club it, cook it, and put it in your cave. You can club women and put them in your cave too, but don't cook them or they'll push you onto the fire!

Space Taxi
Michael Plate says: One of the first games using a digitized voice. The simple but addicting game idea was used for different remakes on other platforms.

Potty Pigeon
Neo-Rio says: The one and only bird simulation game! Build your nest while 'defecating' on passing cars and people! They don't make games like this anymore (probably just as well).

Alleykat
Neo-Rio says: Alleykat is supposed to be about futuristic racing, but this game plays more like a 3D shoot'em up in the mould of Zaxxon. The game oozes class, a cool title track, great C64 graphics, and a nasty thing called a Katerkiller. I played this one for ages....

3D Pool
Neo-Rio says: Arguably the best billiards game on the C64. The graphics are great, and the computer opponents are pretty good players too.

Turbo Out Run
graveyardjohn says: A great racer for the C64, only 2nd to Turbocharge. Good graphics, great Jeroen Tel title theme, and it beats the previous US Gold version of Out Run hands down.

F-15 Strike Eagle
Neo-Rio says: Before games genius Sid Meier made "Civilisation", he made this game. It's an arcade style fighter jet simulation, which is lots and lots of fun.

Ramparts
Neo-Rio says: I never liked Rampage too much because it was just about impossible. Ramparts has the difficulty set just right and is a much more elegant game!
