Working great, thank You :)

But I can't run "Droga Do Duplandu" at all. Experienced with different firmwares, BASIC ON/OFF, all patches disabled and can't run. Same about game "Head Over Hells".

Droga Do Duplandu needs about 500K of memory, no basic and to type dupland at dos prompt to get it to load.

The same configuration worked on Head over Heals as well.

Now I know much more and I (almost) fully understand algorithm of "how to run more games". I did not know that such combinations may be necessary, because when I had real Atari 65 XE 20 years ago, had only 64kB. Everything I did was putting cassettes in datasette and several stress situations like "will this game load properly now or not ?". So now I know that some games may need much more memory than I imagined. Thank You for answer and help :)

Awesome, cant wait :) love the work youve done on all the previous version of the A800 GB! keep up the great work :) the Atari800XL was a BIG part of my childhood and having it in such a superb system like the gamebase system is just awesome. Thanks again man.

Mark, did any of those things I sent you make sense?

The lump of basic files all worked fine with the injection method but loads of what I thought were baisc files seemed to be anthing but..

EDIT:

If you know what files you want injected and are having problems then I'm more than happy to give a hand and do them myself if it's possible, just email or make a rapidshare link to them and I'll get cracking.

i havn't had any luck with them images, i could extract all the .bas files within gamebase and put them on rapidshare for you to try your magic on them. At the moment i'm adding links to atarimania for each game, plus graphic artists and ratings etc. I have added more manual scans, and fixed the word document manuals too.

The next version will be done in the new gamebase 1.3 format, as i'm using the beta to develope it. If anyone can supply me with any extra screenshots for games that currently only have one, that would be great.

I have been using K.C.'s excellent Gemus script for atari800 & atari800win.

Mark, I'm more than happy to do the bas files, just stick them up and I'll give it a try...

EDIT:

I've extracted the complete set of .bas files from the last database update so unless you have added some since then I'll not need anything from you to save you time.

If you have added since then I'll need them all from you...

Let me know asap..

Thanks Paul, im sure that i didn't add any extra .bas files since version 7. If we can replace them all, then they should all work in Altirra, which is what i would like.

Ok, I had already started just in case, just about to hit those staring with C, so far all work bar 1 which I have a feeling is to do with the version of basic.

Should have them back to you in a few days..

Taking a little longer than I thought but progressing well, so far only one has failed and I think it's a badly written program that's the problem.

All others SO FAR work fine but you really understand why 1. Altirra's warp mode is useful and 2. how long some of these basic programs take to initialise.

Honestly, you think some of these things are dead and suddenly after an eternity they spring to life :)

Like I said, I've lost some time through family time but I'm on the case and you should have 457 correctly named (ie as you had them) ATR's coming your way asap.
