Daphne Gamebase - anyone ?

Wed Apr 06, 2011 4:11 am

Can anyone create Gamebase Daphne ?

If You don't know what is this, visit:

As I know, the newest Daphne emu supports crypted games (needs original Bluray discs ?), like: Space Ace, Dragon's Lair, Dragon's Lair 2, Thayer's Quest. Of course the older Daphne version supports unencrypted games.

I have the newest versions of games unencrypted:
2010-01-09 18:45 <DIR> astron
2010-01-09 18:45 <DIR> badlands
2010-01-09 18:45 <DIR> bega
2010-01-09 18:45 <DIR> cobra
2010-01-09 18:45 <DIR> esh
2010-01-09 18:45 <DIR> galaxyr
2010-01-09 18:45 <DIR> gpworld
2010-01-09 18:45 <DIR> interstellar
2010-01-09 18:45 <DIR> mach3
2010-01-09 18:45 <DIR> rb
2010-01-09 18:45 <DIR> sdq
2010-01-09 18:45 <DIR> uvt
and older unencrypted (for older Daphne):
2010-01-09 18:45 <DIR> Cliff Hanger [re-encoded]
2010-01-09 18:45 <DIR> Dragon's Lair 2
2010-01-09 18:45 <DIR> Dragon's Lair [re-encoded]
2010-01-09 18:45 <DIR> Space Ace [re-encoded]
2010-01-09 18:45 <DIR> Thayer's Quest
If anyone plan to do this Gamebase and don't have files, I can upload everything. It's 14.3 GB.

I did not use Daphne for several years, so maybe I have outdated informations (if Daphne supports more games), forgive me then ;)

i had a look at this a few years ago.
but i couldn't get it working with or without gamebase.

there are so many versions / rips of the laser discs, finding the correct frame file for each version was almost impossible at the time.

the only success i ever had with Daphne, was running Dragon's Lair v1 on a XBOX.

if you have all your Laser Disc images working correctly from the Daphne menu?
it should be easy to make it run in Gamebase using the command line options with a small script or creating Batch files for each game.
i just need your working ini and frame files from the Daphne Folder.

I DO NOT NEED ANY DISC's to make this. 8)
Just a working Daphne Setup.

mad: it was hard to run for me either, but I wrote instruction (unfortunatelly in Polish, but I can translate it) which says the most important things about "how Daphne works".

I have Vicman's "GB Action Max" - it uses Daphne, checked before. So, maybe it would not be so hard.

I think we can do this like:
The newest Daphne for these games, which don't need original disc
Older Daphne for these 4 "forbidden" titles.

I probably have everything needed because I ran these games years ago. In several days I'll post more in this thread...

while you are waiting for the LaserBase GameBase...

download this and get ready.
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=VJVCBTF4

load the file into JDownloader (http://jdownloader.org/)
just double click on the file when JDownloader is installed.

enter encrypted password "gamebase" when asked 8)

*any archive passwords are stored in the folder properties.

when you reach your download limit, change your IP to continue.
those with a Dynamic IP, only need to reconnect their modem/router.

I've checked this "package" and now it's time to compare images for quality (mine resources vs from this container)

for those, who wanna grab this, it does not contain several titles
if You want something, unavailable in this package, feel free to ask and I'll upload

cheers :D

I think the encodes look quite good - but I have nothing to compare them too either. Looking forward to the gamebase!

joe: what is Your decision ?

I've downloaded Your Gamebase, added image & rom files (with the best quality available), checked for working, packed, checked archive integrity, added sfv file, uploaded (approx. 24gb) and waiting for Your approve to posting this

so, do You approve it to post my links or not ?
